The CIRC-UITS project focuses on demonstrating improved circularity in the automotive and mass electronics sectors through the reuse of semiconductors from different sources, as well as supporting the reuse and remanufacturing of semiconductors into new components and high value-added products in these sectors. The primary objective of Task 3.1 is to define methodologies for Life Cycle Sustainability \& Circularity Assessment (LCS\&CA) that enable non-experts to evaluate the sustainability and circularity impacts of their decisions. The task focuses on developing an LCS\&CA method to integrate sustainability and circularity performance assessments and creating advisory models for various scenarios, potentially integrating third-party AI mechanisms for enhanced decision support. The methodologies proposed here in D3.1 were developed through contributors' expertise, insights from previous projects, state-of-the-art reviews, and interactions with project pilots and consortium members through workshops and surveys. Key sustainability areas addressed include environmental, economic, and social assessment. The main circularity areas covered focus on recyclability and repairability. These assessment methodologies were tailored to the pilots' needs by characterizing their activities to understand the required support in terms of LCS\&CA and Advisory. For each methodology a set of indicators was first proposed and then selected at pilot level. D3.1 also presents a state-of-the-art study of AI methods and techniques which can support LCS\&CA and product lifecycle phases such as Eco-Design, Manufacturing and EoL.} } @COMMENT{Bibtex file generated on }
