Application documents
To enable us to react promptly to your application, we kindly request the following documents from you - together with your application:
- A complete curriculum vitae in tabular form, including a course of study, which also shows your personal aptitude and commitment outside your field of study.
- Copy of the certificate of university entrance qualification
- Study certificates (Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, Diploma degree, Score Overview )
- Copies of university certificates, including intermediate and preliminary examination certificates if applicable; if the degree is obtained after submission of the application documents, the copies must be submitted subsequently without being requested.
- Job Reference(s) of the last employement(s)
Applicants (m/f/d) who are not yet able to submit their diploma at the time of application must enclose with their application a transcript of proficiency issued by the university. This must include the name and type of courses attended, as well as individual grades or ECTS credit points.
Statement of Comparability for Foreign Higher Education Qualifications
Applicants, regardless of their nationality, must obtain a so-called "Statement of Comparability for Foreign Higher Education Qualifications" from the ZAB (https://www.kmk.org/zab/statement-of-comparability.html) for qualifications acquired abroad (master's degree/doctorate) and attach the long version to their application. The costs for the certificate evaluation are to be borne by the applicant. For applications of international research assistants who are enrolled in a Master's program in Germany, the transcript evaluation for the Bachelor's degree obtained abroad is also required.
Selection Process
As soon as we have received your application, we will send you a confirmation of receipt - in any case within one week. If you have not heard from us by the end of this period, to be on the safe side, please contact us and ask if your application has reached us at all.
You will also receive feedback on whether or not your application was successful in a timely manner: In most cases, 10 days is enough for us, sometimes it can take a few days longer due to the coordination with the individual specialist teams.
If your application convinced us, we would like to get to know you personally and invite you to an interview at OFFIS in Oldenburg. In this first interview we want to get a closer impression of you, your expectations and previous qualifications, but also to give you a closer impression of us. So prepare yourself with your own questions - we will answer (almost) all of them!
If you are abroad or if your short-term journey is difficult for other reasons, it is also possible that we will initially arrange a video interview with you - although this never replaces the personal impression, it is in any case suitable for the purpose of getting to know each other and exchanging information.
If after the first personal meeting we have the feeling that you could fit in well with us, and if we were also able to leave a positive impression on you, what follows is very different: Depending on the position and function for which you have applied, a second interview with other interview partners may sometimes follow, or even a direct offer of a contract - we will let you know exactly what "your" process will look like during the first interview!
