Analytical Applications Analytical applications and methods
The evaluation of integrated data collections requires concepts and technologies for explorative, multidimensional data analyses, for the planning and monitoring of indicators and for data mining with special consideration of the integration of spatial reference and statistics. Adequate visualizations for the discovery of connections play an important role - especially in connection with data exploration. This research group has developed the data analysis platform MUSTANG as a basis for specific analytical information systems. The service-oriented platform is characterized by the fact that standard components such as various multidimensional databases and "R Project" as statistical software or PostGIS as geo-database can be connected. A large number of already implemented medical-epidemiological procedures provide a variety of possibilities.
