The stationary duty room, there are two realistic workstations for nursing staff to represent documentation processes. Furthermore, a medication workstation is available to support the activities related to the preparation of medication. In the control room area, which functions as a rescue control centre or coordination centre for the outpatient service, a modern, realistic working environment can be used to demonstrate telepresence support for nursing staff with patients or for paramedics in action. The equipment will include large monitors and various input modalities (keyboards, joysticks, etc.).
This laboratory will be used to develop and test new technologies in the field of telecare and telemedicine, but also to simplify documentation and other work. This includes the use of telepresence robots and manipulators. End-user involvement also takes place in this laboratory. New technology can be tested and discussed here. The lab is also used to conduct studies.
