Whistleblower System

Our appreciative and at the same time professional interaction with each other is characterized by respect, openness and commitment. Integrity is the basis of our (research) work and our actions and is extremely important! Each of us at OFFIS is responsible and called upon to stand up for these values. If you notice deviations from this behavior, we would like to ask and explicitly encourage you to communicate this!

For externals:
Our whistleblower system Hintcatcher gives you the opportunity to inform us about possible violations of legal regulations and thus contribute to their clarification. Compliance with the law is a top priority for OFFIS. Illegal behavior must be recognized in time to initiate appropriate countermeasures and to avert possible damages for business partners, employees and OFFIS. For this reason, we have set up Hintcatcher, an anonymous reporting channel to protect and encourage whistleblowers, in accordance with the EU Whistleblower Directive and national regulations. Hintcatcher ensures that all tips are transmitted securely and that whistleblowers cannot be traced - unless you explicitly request this.

Please note that our whistleblowing system is not intended for general complaints. If you wish to make a complaint, please contact the relevant person directly.

For OFFIS employees:
There are many contact persons. If possible, you should approach your supervisor directly. But also the management, the works council or the whistleblower officers are available for discussions.

To enable you as an employee to report unethical behavior anonymously, it is important to us to make this as uncomplicated as possible for you. For this reason, in accordance with the EU Whistleblower Directive and national regulations, we have set up Hintcatcher, an anonymous reporting channel to protect and encourage whistleblowers. Hintcatcher ensures that all tips are transmitted securely and that whistleblowers cannot be traced - unless you explicitly request this.

Alternatively, a report can also be submitted to the Federal Office of Justice as an external reporting centre.

European Anti-Fraud Office

If the report is related to suspected fraud against public EU funds, there is also the option of contacting the European Anti-Fraud Office.
