The transformation of the German healthcare system is leading to a structural change in the hospital landscape. Former hospitals are being converted into regional healthcare centers and inpatient care is being transferred to central clinics. This is leading to a very different healthcare landscape. These changes pose new challenges for the healthcare system, such as the great distance between patients and their relatives and the limited availability of specialists in the healthcare centers.
The project is intended to contribute to the realization of participatory and seamless healthcare from the living room to the clinic, which focuses on the greatest possible autonomy and participation of all those involved in a care continuum. In the preliminary project, the initial situation and the changing healthcare landscape are to be recorded and reconstructed, the wishes and objectives of the stakeholders involved are to be recorded and the participation space is to be prepared. To this end, two initial telerobotic user scenarios will be implemented, and the necessary infrastructure identified.
