A domain-specific architecture framework for the maritime domain

The maritime domain has the goal to harmonize heterogeneous systems and integrate new approaches into existing structures. In this paper we discuss the need for architectural methodology to overcome the challenge to coordinate the development of new systemsconsidering technology issues, governance aspects and users between existing architectures in the maritime domain. We introduce already approved domain-specific architecture frameworks and present our approach for a suitable architecture framework which takes into account the appropriate structure of maritime domain.
