"Should I stay or should I go?": Different designs to support drivers' decision making

Ambient lighting systems have been introduced by several manufacturers to increase the driver's comfort. Also, some works proposed warning systems based on light displays. Expanding on those works, we are searching for designs of Lumicons (i.e. light patterns) that can not only warn drivers in critical situations but also keep them informed in a non-distracting way. We present first ideas for Lumicons for a given scenario coming from a participatory design process.
