The EU-project COMPANION aims at developing a system for optimal platoon orchestration. The system will automatically identify optimal constellations of platoons based on logistics data and other external factors such as traffic data and weather information. Assistance functions in the truck will lead the drivers into the platoons and will help them joining and leaving the platoons.
