Today, analogue photography has been largely replaced by digital photography. Additionally, the way pictures are handled personally is changing. OFFIS, in cooperation with CEWE Color, conceives and evaluates new ways and technologies for innovative value-added services with the help of content- and context-based analysis and retrieval of personal photos. Among others, we apply the technologies for semi-automatic design of digital photo books. Here, derived meta­data are employed to select and place photos in a photo book and to enrich the pages with external content.
